Classes that empower young minds to embrace challenges and unlock potential.

Our kindergarten program provides a rich and dynamic learning environment where children explore science, history, math, geography, practical life, and language arts. Children thrive when they are guided to explore the world with imagination and curiosity. By connecting abstract concepts to tangible experiences, we can help solidify their learning in a way that stays with them for a lifetime. We are committed to empowering young minds to embrace challenges and unlock potential. Hence our students are prepared for first grade and beyond.

Montessori Kindergarten Classrooms emphasizes:

Language Arts: serves as a critical cornerstone for a child’s education, building upon the foundational skills introduced in preschool. This development creates a strong basis for mastering essential skills such as reading, writing, spelling, and grammar. As well as our weekly Spanish lessons. Our holistic approach equips children not only with academic tools but also with the confidence and fluency to express their ideas clearly.

Mathematics: Integrating mathematics into various domains helps children see its relevance and application in everyday life. We build a strong foundation in mathematics by teaching addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. A significant portion of the math curriculum is dedicated to hands-on lessons using tools such as the geometry cabinet and constructive triangles.

Geography: In our geography curriculum, we explore the Earth’s formation, its position in the solar system, and the essential components that shape our planet, including its atmosphere, weather, and seasons. Children will gain an understanding of land and water features, through map-reading. A key aspect of our study involves delving into the continents, their countries, and the rich diversity of cultures that shape our world.

Botany Zoology: Our curriculum emphasizes plant anatomy, physiology, geography, and horticulture, fostering an understanding of the vital role that plants play in sustaining life. In Zoology, the lessons introduce the animal kingdom, classification, and diverse needs of animals. Our approach encourages curiosity and lays the groundwork for a broader appreciation for the ecosystem.

Practical Life: Children build on their foundational skills by progressing to more complex activities such as food preparation, cooking, stitching, and basic etiquette.

  • Low Teacher-to-Child Ratio: Ensures personalized attention and tailored guidance for each child.
  • Self-Directed Learning: Promotes curiosity and motivation through purposeful, hands-on activities.
  • Development of Responsibility: Nurtures accountability and decision-making skills.
  • Respectful Communication: Models and fosters kind, empathetic interactions among peers.
  • Coping Skills: Teaches children how to handle their emotions.
  • Positive Behavior Reinforcement: Builds confidence and encourages desirable behaviors through recognition and encouragement.

As a father, seeing my son thrive at Genstar Montessori has been an incredibly rewarding experience. When he first joined the school, he was shy and unsocial, having struggled to find his place or interest in academics at his previous Montessori school. But under the care and guidance of Ms. Tima and Ms. Valar, everything has changed for the better. The play-oriented learning approach at Genstar has been a game-changer for Alex. He now has a genuine interest in letters and numbers, he’s mastered his shapes, loves learning about the differences in animals and plants—all while having fun! It’s amazing to see him so excited about learning, and it’s clear that the environment here has helped him connect with the material in a way that resonates deeply with him. Socially, the transformation has been just as profound. He used to keep to himself and become frustrated easily, but now he’s built such strong bonds with his classmates. It’s heartwarming to watch him come out of his shell and form meaningful connections with others. Genstar Montessori has not only reignited Alex’s love for learning but has also nurtured his social and emotional development. I can’t thank Ms. Tima, Ms. Valar, and the entire team enough for their dedication and support. This school hastruly been a blessing for our family.

I love Genstar, the director and staff are all great. The school is clean and routines are very well structured. My daughter attended this school from age 2. She loved it so much fast forward to age 5+ and now in elementary school, she continues to ask to see Ms. Tima her teacher. Ms. Tima is so amazing, she’s highly skilled, nurturing, attentive, kind, diligent, and I could keep going on. She teaches the children math, reading, general knowledge, independence, manners and all. Hands down the teacher of the year every year. I highly recommend the school.
